Latitude is painted on a piece of rough edged canvas that is permanently affixed to a backing fame. This allows the painting's surface to stand out from the wall. Latitude has a great deal of raised texture that makes it feel very topographic, with the blue lines suggesting waterways.

Thanks! It's one of my favorites. I am fond of patterns and movement. This has both. I glued a piece of canvas over a stretched canvas and then gessoed it down with about an inch hanging off the frame in all directions. This edge curled under and around the frame when I applied the gesso, making for a more organic shape to the piece. It is still for sale. $140.00. Payments are also accepted. Thanks again. Robens
